How does MasterSeal 910 work?
MasterSeal 910 provides a simple and effective sealing method for waterproof constructions. The waterproofing of MasterSeal 910 is suitable for all construction joints exposed to hydrostatic pressure, on one side or both sides.
The MasterSeal 910 is applied to the concrete face of the construction joint before the concrete is placed there. Movements in the joint caused by the structure's shrinkage are compensated for by the active hydro-absorbing profile of the MasterSeal 910 waterproofing.
MasterSeal 910 is based on a new polymer technology that provides a chemical-resistant, flexible component capable of retaining water within its molecular structure while increasing its own volume and swelling. The swelling of the sealant, which depends on the type of water it is immersed in, can reach up to 200% of its original volume. These extreme swelling levels result in pressure being exerted on the opposite side of the joint, preventing any water passage through it.
Why is MasterSeal 910 used?
The MasterSeal 910 is designed to replace the "chaotic path" of conventional PVC or rubber waterproofing membranes, but only in construction joints where limited movement is expected.
The MasterSeal 910 is frequently used in the following structures:
Water tanks
Canals
Dams
Wastewater treatment plants
Basements
